Anybody going to the Bridge School Benefit at Shoreline this weekend? http://www.bridgeschool.org/events.html
Nice line up of groups. Great, worthwhile cause. Wish I was going but my brother's B-Day is this weekend and I have other plans. I would love to hear about it if anyone is lucky enough to be going.

In my opinion Tom Waits is one of the most underrated song writers out there. People like the Eagles and Rod Stewart do his songs and they're all over the radio and nobody has any idea who Tom Waits is.
If you are spending an evening with some female companionship and you put on Closing Time and you don't get yourself some action, it ain't Tom's fault.

i was lucky enough to see him on the Franks Wild Years tour in '87 at the Warfield. one of the best shows i have ever seen. it actually brought me to tears a couple of times.

i would probably chop off a finger to go back in time and catch him in the early piano bar days!

i just fired off an angry e-mail to all of my like-minded SF friends as to why i am only finding out about him playing the Bridge shows right now.
